The highly contagious novel virus COVID-19 makes social interactions risky. Stringent precautions are now necessary to keep employees safe in their places of work. This is leading to new violations in the employer-employee relationship dynamic. An example of such violations is recounted in a recent Patch article about a lawsuit against an LA based company that is putting employees in unsafe working situations during the coronavirus outbreak. After multiple complaints to her employer, the employee received emails belittling her and accusing her of insubordination. The law suit alleges that she repeatedly asked to work remotely and was consequently fired the following day.
