Although many people are still staying home, some California counties are opening up and traffic is virtually back to normal. This past Memorial day weekend, the usual spike of DUI related crashes and deaths were still very apparent. California Highway Patrol reported that nearly 50% of those who did not survive in car crashes during the 2020 Memorial day season were not wearing a seatbelt. Although you may not be driving while intoxicated, you never know who else may be doing so around you on the roads. With this upcoming Independence Day weekend approaching, please take care, and make sure to drive sober and wear a seatbelt.
